It’s been a long hot summer.
I hope you’ve all found time to enjoy it, though. Pools, beaches, lakes—there’s a theme. Cool off in water! :) Even as a kid, the only thing I really liked about Summer was the fact that we were out of school.
I’m more of a cool weather person, so the fact that Fall is getting closer makes me happy. Meanwhile, I’ve been working, just finished another book and sent it in to my fabulous editor yesterday.
And in between times, I fight weeds. I need a shield and sword because the weeds in Utah are tougher than anything I’ve ever seen before. Doesn’t matter how we do combat, so far, they’re winning.
But there are tomatoes and blackberries and nectarines, plums and cherries to be picked—not to mention the apples. I know I asked before, but does anyone need apples? Soon my neighbors are going to stop answering the door when they see me coming with more fruit to give away!
Even with all the work and the yard, I find time to read and I hope you do, too. There’s just nothing like a good book to give you the time and space you need to recharge your batteries. To take a vacation with characters who become your friends. To go places you’ve never been before…….
So as Summer winds down, make time for you! And when you do, I hope you try one of my books!
